This compote is prepared with the red onion of Tropea Calabria, renowned for its particular sweetness and high digestibility. It is excellent served on toast or crostini and to enhance cheeses, both fresh and aged. It goes perfectly with roasted meats and is delicious served with fish such as mackerel fillets or tuna steak.
